These Terms of Sale set out the terms on which we supply products to you when you order from our website.

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Sale.

Topo Signs (“we”, “us”) makes and sells personalised sign products online.

When we say “you”, we mean the person buying from our website for personal, non-business use.

2. Our products

Our products are made to order and personalised (for example, with your chosen destinations, distances and directions).

We try to show colours, finishes and dimensions as accurately as possible, but what you see on screen depends on your device and settings, so small differences are expected.

If something like size, colour or material is critical for you, please check the product description or contact us before ordering.

3. Ordering and our contract with you

  • When you place an order on our website, you are making an offer to buy the products you’ve selected.

  • We’ll email you to acknowledge your order.

  • After you complete checkout, we’ll show an order confirmation page. When this page is displayed, your order is accepted and a binding contract is formed between you and us.

  • We will also send you an order confirmation email for your records. If you don’t receive the email, the contract is still valid as long as the confirmation page was shown.

  • If we’re unable to fulfil your order (for example, due to a genuine pricing or stock error), we may cancel the order, let you know as soon as reasonably possible, and refund any payment taken.

You confirm that:

  • You are buying for personal or household use, not for resale.

4. Prices, payment and taxes

  • Product prices are shown on our website.

  • Delivery costs and any other mandatory charges are shown clearly at checkout before you pay.

  • We may change prices at any time, but the price you pay is the one shown at checkout when you place your order.

  • You must pay for your order in full at checkout using one of the payment methods we accept.

If your payment is declined or reversed, we do not have to supply the products.

5. Shipping and delivery

  • We deliver to the countries shown at checkout.

  • Estimated delivery times are given when you order – they are estimates only, not guaranteed dates.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, or events outside our reasonable control, but we’ll do what we reasonably can to help.

Risk in the products passes to you when the order is delivered to the address you gave us. Please check your delivery details carefully before confirming your order.

6. Cancellations and returns

Because your sign is usually personalised and made to your specifications, the usual 14-day “change of mind” cooling-off period for online shopping normally does not apply.

That means:

  • If you simply change your mind about a correctly supplied personalised item, we are not obliged to accept a return or give a refund.

However, you still have important legal rights:

  • If your sign arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and photos.

  • Where the law requires it, we will offer a repair, replacement or refund within a reasonable time.

  • If we ask you to return a faulty or not-as-described item, we will cover reasonable return costs or provide a return label.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

7. Using our website, designs and your content

All text, photos, logos, designs and other content on our site belong to us or our partners. You may use the site to browse and place orders, but you must not copy, reuse or exploit our designs, photos or other content without our permission.

If you give us any content to use on a product (for example, destination names, wording or other text), you confirm that:

  • You have the right to use that content; and

  • It does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break any laws (for example, it is not unlawful, defamatory or hate speech).

We may refuse or edit wording that we consider offensive, inappropriate or illegal.

8. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so – for example, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Otherwise:

  • We are only responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill; and

  • To the extent allowed by law, our total liability in respect of any order is limited to the price you paid for that order.

We are not responsible for:

  • Losses that are business-related (including loss of profit, business, revenue or opportunity); or

  • Losses caused by events we cannot reasonably control.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

9. Feedback, reviews and other submissions

We really love seeing how people use their Topo signs, and we’re always happy to hear what you think. Your reviews, ideas and photos help us improve and also help other customers decide what to buy.

If you share any ideas, suggestions, reviews, photos, comments or other content with us (“Feedback”), for example by email, on our website or on social media and tagging us:

  • You give us permission (a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable licence) to use, store, reproduce, modify, publish and display your Feedback in any media, including on our website, in emails and on social media, for example to showcase real customer photos or reviews.

  • You confirm that you own or control the rights in the Feedback, and that our use of it will not infringe anyone else’s rights or break any laws.

  • You agree that we don’t have to keep your Feedback confidential, respond to it, or pay you for it, even if we feature it in our marketing.

We may hide, edit or remove Feedback that we reasonably believe is unlawful, offensive, misleading or otherwise inappropriate, but we’re not obliged to monitor everything that’s submitted.

You are responsible for the Feedback you submit and for making sure it is accurate.

10. Relationship with Shopify

Topo Signs is powered by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that enables us to offer our online store and related services.

However:

  • All sales and purchases made in our online store are made directly between you and Topo Signs.

  • Shopify is not a party to the contract between you and us and is not responsible for our products, our website content, or any issues arising from your order.

By using our website and placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Any claims, questions or complaints about your order or our products must be directed to Topo Signs, not Shopify; and

  • You expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from any claims, damages or liabilities arising out of or in connection with your purchases from Topo Signs.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute or claim relating to them or your order, are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live in the UK, you will normally be able to bring legal proceedings in the courts of your home UK country (for example, Scotland or Northern Ireland), in line with your consumer rights.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Sale from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one shown on our website at the time you place your order.

If we make material changes that affect your current or future orders, we will take steps to notify you where required by law.
